APRIL 19 NATIONAL DAY OF PROTEST

10AM - 12PM

NEW YORK AVENUE & WOODLAND BLVD. DELAND

April 19th is the 250th anniversary of the Battle of Lexington and Concord and was the beginning of the American Revolution.

The day when people decided they had to defend themselves from Britain ruling them without representation. When they had had enough of the government not listening to them.

As Heather Cox Richardson notes "Scholars often note that the American Revolution of 250 years ago was a movement not to change the status quo but to protect it. The colonists who became revolutionaries sought to make sure that patterns of self-government established over generations could not be overturned by foreign officials seeking to seize power. We seem to be at it again...."

Make April 19th, 2025 another day when we tell them we have had enough!
